Chicken & Dumplings



CHICKEN & DUMPLINGS (Little Cajun House way) 1 stick of butter. Chicken breast Holy trinity (medium bell pepper, onion, 2 stalks celery) and some baby carrots. 1tbs minced garlic Season to taste with salt , pepper,Tony’s, garlic,dried parsley & tumeric. 1 can of each chicken soup & mushroom soup 32 oz chicken broth 2 cans flaky butter biscuits (you don’t have to use all the biscuits) Add butter to the bottom of your pan, cook chicken for a few minutes until golden then add in bell pepper, onion,celery and baby carrots cook for 7 to 8 minutes. Add in minced garlic and spices. Now add in your canned soups and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, reduce heat cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes. Add biscuits coat with gravy put the lid back on and cook/ simmer for 15 minutes. Remove lid add more gravy to the top, put the lid back on. Cook for another 15 minutes until the biscuits are thoroughly cooked and that’s it. Y’all come eat! #chickenanddumplings #cajunfood #comfortfood #fallfood #easyrecipe #heb #zline

  1. It started out promising, but then after all the industrially produced ingrredients were added it looked completely disgusting to me. And I`m sure the stomach of the person who ate this wasn't very happy either.

  3. Never seen green peppers in chicken and dumplings or cream of mushroom soup. Rice seems like a lot of starch. I prefer flat rather that doughy biscuit dumplings but each cook has their own preferences which I can acknowledge but wouldn’t personally do. Cutting a pie crust or flour tortillas into strips is my preference. To each their own..thanks for sharing

  4. Looks damn good!! I would omit the green peppers though!! I don't like them, BUT like I said it looks good, filling, and like good old comfort food!!

  5. biscuits as dumplings are 100% okay. most people complaining have never went thru the hours of trying to get them made right, my grandma could but unfortunately passed away before i was old enough to really start cooking, so biscuits has always been my go-to for chicken and dumplings. Fantastic video ā¤šŸŽ‰

  7. Loved everything but them dumplings. Shoulda cooked the biscuits, split em open and put chicken on em. Boiled dough ain't it for me!! šŸ˜

  9. That can’t be good for you when my grandmother was making tortillas that have pretty much the same ingredients she would always say never eat it raw. That’s pretty much what it looks like raw dough. šŸ˜…not hating js

  10. I love fried chicken and dumplings. Instead of stewing the meat use seasoned chicken stock, chicken fat boiling with butter and seasonings. Make your dumplings from starch and drop into broth. Let pump and rise and serve with fried chicken.
