With a the posts about people getting their accounts hacked, orders being made and rewards being used, this is something I hope we see more of.

My account got hacked not too long ago,. Was surprised to see 2fa isn’t a thing on most fast food apps. Thankfully, fraud detection caught on quick and they weren’t able to get away with much.

Sure, why not add a requirement for 16 digit alpha numeric password that expires evey 30 days?

Quit worrying about my security. Its food not my checking or social security.

For what it’s worth, I don’t have a CC saved on the app. I use Google pay in app each time I order. I’m assuming apple pay is available in app as well.

There’s no reason you should have to store banking information for a food app. I just use ApplePay because there’s been too many breaches of security with these apps.

  5. No offense to anyone but how do you get your food rewards account hacked 😭? As a current carder & “cyberthug”, our methods r wayyy more profitable than doing this & basically a waste of our time. If ur food account gets hacked, that must be one desperate Mf, yall stay safe though, would hate to lose my points

  6. I posted about this earlier. I’m so glad BWW is finally doing it. I had someone get into my account and try to redeem 20 boneless wings and fries AND chips and queso. Thankfully, I got in and changed my phone number back in time and changed my password.

It wouldn’t hurt, but as someone in IT, a LOT of people hate MFA for being “annoying” even though it helps security.

  9. If I go to Europe and put a SIM card in my phone, I won’t be able to receive a text to authenticate my log in.

Wouldn’t matter if Taco Bell did this since I can’t even use my app to order anything anyway

Good that Buffalo Wild Wings is doing this. I got an email one day saying someone used all my rewards in their app. I emailed Buffalo Wild Wings support immediately, saying that wasn’t me, and they put the rewards points back in. Then I found out it was incredibly easy to access my account. I can’t remember what it was exactly, but if you knew my email, you basically could change the password without having access to my email account. Like a 4 year old could “hack” anyone’s account easily.

No.. you idiots having cards on file is your problem I don’t need more passwords .. for fuck sake. Just use Google pay or apple pay. Or have a password that’s legit password. All my fastfood ones are literally their name and a word I hate passwords lol sorry I nearly got roade rage thinking about two factor

I will never use MFA again. Someone was able to transfer my phone number to another phone.

Look up sim swap scam. With the MFA they were able to get into all of my accounts, even the ones set up with an email MFA, because they got into my email too.

If you have any MFA set up, I urge you to contact your carrier immediately if your phone loses service. Also check all of your accounts for fraudulent activity.

They got into mine overnight and made numerous purchases before I woke up.
