Oh shit, I didn’t even realize the cravings box has a taco AND 5 layer while the BYOB gets the choice of only one of those.
Definitely a solid deal, might get it tomorrow.
This is your franchise’s choice. One near me upped the price to 8.99 like yours, the other is still 5.99. The only downside of the new box is you must get a chalupa.
It’s a limited time promo. It comes and goes, but they can’t really adjust the rest of the menu to match everytime.
Taco Bell pricing is… Pretty sure they used a spinning wheel with random prices gave it a few turns for everything on the menu. For example at most taco Bells a chicken quesadilla It’s more expensive than a grilled cheese burrito.
Specifically my last order. 6.39$ for Some chicken some cheese and some sauce and a tortilla. But for 5.69 you can get a tortilla, chicken, fiesta strips, sour cream, chipotle sauce, seasoned rice, nacho cheese sauce abs then the melted cheese ontop.
How does that make any sense? But it’s like that at every TB i’ve been to

Prices very widely on combos from location to location. my taco bell that box is $6.49.
The Crunch wrap along is $6.29.
Other location the combo is more expensive.
McDs is like that as well. 1 location has a sharable breakfast meal (4 sandwiches, 4 hash browns) for $19.99, another 5 miles away is $13.99
Even add-ons at Taco Bell varies, 1 location charges $0.10 for onions, another charges $0.60. Se eith meat, extra steak is $0.80 at one location and $1.49 at another.
The pricing from location to location on these places is so screwy
My nearest Taco Bell still has build your own box priced at $5.99. The $5 box (where you have to get a Chalupa as the specialty) is also back on the menu. Maybe many people complained when they took it off.
