Taco Bell

Can someone PLEASE tell me exactly what is happening here?

I’m sorry…$13.09 for a fucking chalupa combo? And adding sour cream to your crunchy taco combo adds over two dollars?? I understand that inflation and the economy are in a spiral. I get it, I do. But what the hell. Our value menu has nothing on it that it used to. And a cheese roll up is nearly two dollars now! I just can’t believe it. I’m so disappointed. I used to get Taco Bell as a treat once a month, but not anymore. 🙁 I don’t know what I’m expecting, maybe I just needed to vent lol.

I’m here to let y’all know. Chicken quesadillas get one scoop of chicken…& you’re paying $6 for it absolute robbery.

The quality of food is not that great I love Taco Bell but I rarely buy their food 😂 I only eat it cause I work here

  3. Have you been living under a rock or something? Alacarte is always more expensive . I Just checked your store and it’s 5 dollars +70 cents for the chalupa cravings box with chicken. It’s 50 cents more for chips and cheese.

    that’s 2 chicken chalupas, 2 5 layer burritos, 2 tacos, 2 sodas , 2 chips and cheese for 12.50. your welcome

What’s happening is youz don’t know how to order

Price gouging fuckers. To hell with the bell

  5. No_Appointment6211

Yeah Taco Bell is officially as expensive as Carl’s Jr which has always been outrageous. Smh

And it’s not just Taco Bell, fast food prices are skyrocketing. It’s at the point that none of this stuff is worth it anymore. But until people stop buying it in mass numbers, they’re going to keep jacking up the prices. People aren’t going to stop buying it because they’re addicted to it.

Where I come from, this is what we would call rip off combos.

Order one of the craving boxes from the app and if those are outrageously overpriced too..then I would just forget the whole thing.

    Inflation, beech. *jenna marbles voice*

Used to eat at TB on the regular. Now I just go to local Mexican because i can get a whole damn meal for a better price.
    Edit: mean to meal

  10. SrgtDonut

Greed and i dont blame them since people are just hungry and dont care to compare prices

It is partially corporate greed, but largely franchisee greed. I live in a much higher cost of living area than this and these four items are $2-3 cheeper for me. Its your local store that is raising the price.

  12. forever_a10ne

Just go to your local Mexican restaurant at this point. It’s cheaper and better.

Seattle prices are stupid…. I miss the under dollar menu, .79/.89/.99 menu was great back when…

  14. disabledinaz

Look up other locations in your area see if the pricing is different

It wasn’t that expensive where I lived in the Midwest a few years back. I recently moved to Washington state though and the prices on everything are insane.

Franchise price gouging at its finest. You need to shift to the cheapest combo that still seems worth it to you or cravings menu items.

The chalupas you get too are absolutely dismal compared to what you see there, sometimes there’s so little meet I have to look if there is any.

It’s now the more than a LARGE double quarter pounder meal with cheese . Which costs 10.64 after you use the 20% discount in the app 12.60 with out it and it’s still cheaper. I’ll also argue more filling and it has fries instead of a bleak crunchy taco and whatever that small soda is identifying as a medium that comes with the meal.

  18. Successful_Part619

It’s to the point people you need to just cook it yourself. Save money and have leftovers.

This makes me feel so old. I was introduced to Taco Bell in 1993, when I went away to college. Had my first “bean burrito minus onion add sour cream” and fell in love. I was very poor, so had to save up for when I could get it. $.75 including tax. That means for the price of one of these combos, I could have gotten more than TEN of my precious burritos. And the burritos back then were easily 50% larger than what you get today. Half the time, they look like glorified soft tacos, they’re so small. The filling to shell ratio is terrible, making bites have more tortilla than anything else.

This has nothing to do with inflation, and everything to do with greed.

It’s ya boi the late stages of capitalism.

  21. insidmal

Price gouging aka attempts by c-suite to impress the board with increasing revenue without actual real sales growth

  22. YeOldeBilk

Greed is what’s going on here. Along with everywhere else in America

Not sure what area you are in, but yeah the prices are stupid high. I remember when a bean burrito used to cost fifty-nine cents there (yeah I know, ancient times of the 1990’s).

Inflation aside, the Taco Bells in my area have a problem with keeping staff, so they are paying around $20 an hour for new hires. It only keeps driving the prices up.

I do miss their Grilled Stuffed Burritos though. That was a pretty good meal for six bucks at the time.

  24. Not worth it. But this is also a franchised store so the owner controls the prices. Aka scamming you lmaooo. I can go to the real Mexican restaurant and get amazing food for the same price.

  25. smoke412

I went to check Taco Bell’s menu for the first time in a year on Monday. My jaw dropped at the prices. Guess I’ll be going another year without it. I just can’t justify those prices.

Our cheesy fiesta potatoes were almost $3.00 the other week!!! and suddenly they’re back to like $1.99. Although I remember when they were $0.99 😫
