How does this pricing make any sense?

Doritos taco is $1.29 more than regular taco, but when put inside a cheesy tortilla, it’s $0.10 less than a regular taco put inside a cheesy tortilla?

I think they play whack-a-mole with price increases sometimes and they really don’t take the time to compare the logic to other items. Specifically with the pricey ala carte items people shouldn’t be buying anyway.

The only way you should be getting a Cheesy Gordita Crunch is in a combo/box or as a reward item.

*Obligatory because you’re paying for it comment.*

Now I really wish I could swap the reward Gordita for the Doritos one.

I don’t know, but $20 for 4 fast food tacos is wild. I hate the cost of everything these days.

Corporate greed and price sensitivity testing. Jack the price way up, see how many people buy at new price.

If they sell 75 tacos at 2.50 that’s way more money than selling 100 tacos at 1.50, and they spend less on the actual ingredients.

It’s fucking awful because TB used to be affordable 10-15 years ago. But this is what happens when there isn’t true competition, corporations have free reign to fuck around with prices. Not limited to fast food either, everything from tech companies to grocery stores increased prices on top of inflation increases and reports record profits.

They don’t. That’s why you get boxes instead of a la carte

Theres a whole financial practice, wish i could remember the name. They inflate an items price to make the one they want you to buy to seem favorable.

You think you are getting a better deal but in reality they are trucking you.

Example. 1 year subscription of something 19.95, 2 year is 25. 3 year is 33. 19.95 seems pricey, 33 is too much commitment. They want you to buy the 2 year.
