Hey everybody today we are making fiery goou Jang noodles goou Jang noodles is one of my favorite dishes and I think you’re going to absolutely love it as a spicy food lover this is probably going to be one of your favorites because not only does it hit that awesome crave that
We all get you know for spicy food but it’s also ridiculously easy and fast to make even for a slow cook like me I can get this done super fast any night of the week so uh let me show you how to make It so let’s talk talk about goou Jang goou Jang is a fermented Korean hot pepper paste that adds a lot of flavor to many dishes um it adds depth of flavor it adds Umami it adds heat spiciness to it just a real deep rich flavor to so many dishes it’s great for
Making sauces great for making noodles just so many things um I usually buy this in bulk uh in these big tubs in um from my local Asian store I’ll get one two three at a time um you can order it online if you need to but I massively
Encourage you to order some online or at least pick some up today because you will love it as a spicy food lover it’s pretty essential in my kitchen first things first we got to make our fiery goou Jang sauce it’s all about the go Jang here my friends so here I have a/4
Cup of hot go Jang um you can use mild go Jang if you want but I’m using hot and I’m using this probably a little bit more than a/4 cup I really want more pronounced Goa Jang flavor make sure you get it all scraped out of there it
Really sticks to your spoon it’s very thick and pasty very thick paste and I have 2 tablespoons of soy sauce 2 tbsp of sesame oil I love sesame oil and 1 tbsp of honey this is optional if you want it to be a little touch of sweet um I’m
Actually using my homemade hot honey and uh I have a recipe for that that I can link to but you can use your favorite honey H maybe a little bit more a little bit more all right and the juice from half of lime you can add more or less if
You want to plenty of lime here nice acidic pop and you can also if you want to you can add some fresh garlic to this if you want it to be like very garlicky I’m going to add the garlic in a little bit later so I always say the Garlic’s
Optional so let’s go ahead and mix this together into our sauce all right look at how thick that is nice and thick and delicious all right let’s set this aside and we will get our cooking station set up I got myself a walk set up here to a
Good medium heat and we’ll add a little bit of oil I’ll just use some sesame oil today since we’re using it already in the sauce and I’m going to add a bunch of Chili Peppers here I got a bunch I’m just going to go Chili Pepper Madness really so I got one
Large red bell for substance and a good jalapeno because I love jalapeno nice little heat to it and here’s a little cow horn I grabbed out of my garden little guy but to use up my uh Italian sweets and uh here’s a couple of Bird’s eyes cuz why not got some extra heat
With the bird’s eyes nice and spicy today for us and we’ll go ahead and stir fry this cook it down for uh anywhere from 5 to 8 minutes really just depends on how soft you want your peppers to be this is quite a lot of peppers you don’t have to
Use as many as I’m using but uh as much as you want guys Chili Pepper Madness and you can add a little salt and pepper to taste here if you want to but uh the sauce does have quite a bit of saltiness to it from the soy sauce
And while you’re cooking your peppers here you can get your noodles going All right I got my Peppers cooked the way I like them so next I’ll add some garlic and I have about four good siiz garlic cloves that I minced and you can add as much or as little garlic as you like uh sometimes I add the garlic later
For a little more garlic oomph but I’m going to cook it a little bit today so just cook it here for about 30 seconds or so so you can smell the gorgeous garlic blooming in the room one of my favorites as you well know so let me get my noodles here off the
Stove right got my noodles here I’m going to drain really Quick all right and into the pan a quick stir fry for a little bit kind of get everything nicely Incorporated all right next we’ll add our goou Jang SA sauce yes the hero sauce is the boss man I’m telling you all right mix it all together going to heat it
Through oh look at this look at that I’m telling you GOI Jang is the best you guys are going to love this dish seriously look at the color on that all right this is so good looking good let’s get this into a bowl give it a taste
Oh yes look at that delicious noodles make sure we get some chilies in there and then you can garnish it how you’d like to some uh fresh herbs or green onions good got some toasted sesame seeds here and I’ve got me some uh chili flakes this is Korean goou
Garu I have to order this stuff by the bag love this stuff so a quick recipe tip you can treat this as a typical stir fry and you could add all kinds of other vegetables to this dish you can add something like bok choy or carrots or pretty much any
Of your favorites to really bulk it up I use a lot of peppers but it’s awesome with any veggies you can also add lots of proteins to it so I personally love it with shrimp but it’s also great with like chicken or pork uh other Seafood is
Fantastic and you can also use tofu if you want to keep it as a vegetarian version all right let’s give it a taste seriously the depth of Flavor of the GOI Jang sauce it’s very like Rich beautiful level of spice to it it’s going to seriously hit the spot
For all my spicy food loving friends spicy GOI Jang noodles my friends I hope you guys love it as much as we do nice and spicy definitely uh one of my favorite dishes so uh hey if you’re looking for some more amazing recipes I will pull up a couple recipes
Right here for you boom and boom check them out and uh I’d also really love to hear what you think of the recipe in the comments below and also what are some of your favorite ways to cook with goou Jang I’d love to hear some of your uh
Creative ideas so that I can get creative and get cooking so all right I hope to see you in the kitchen next time Mike from Chili Pepper Madness bye

I love kochuchang sauce. It is also yummy on kimchi fried rice!!!
Looks great! Have been making a lot of Korean food the last few months, will make this soon 👍
My Gochujang sauce is similar ro yours… I use soy sauce, honey, sesame oil and rice vinegar instead of the lime. Recently I made a shrimp stir fry and used Hoisin Sauce instead of honey… Wow!
Looks delicious, as a Korean I grew up on these ingredients from my mom's cooking. Gonna have to try this one CPM.
just give me that skillet of noodles, some salad tongs, and a bath towel
that looks amazing I bet that sauce would be delicious with some Korean chicken wings too!
What type/brand of noodles did you use?
its like Korean style Spaghetti.. can't wait to try it.
Hello from Australia.. ive used this sauce for buldak noodles. Wow its so awesome your sauce❤
A new dish for me that I cannot wait to try. Another excellent delivery, you make people want to try the recipe. God bless.
I'm very excited to try this recipe, it looks amazing, and sounds like my type of quick meal! Thanks for sharing it with us Mike 👍
Not very unique but I love gochujang on hotdogs in place of tomato catsup.
That looks so awesome . Such a beautiful rich color. The thick gooeyness (Not sure if that's a word) of the sauce which clings to the noodles.😋
Looks so perfect & I can almost taste it.
Thank you for doing such a great job at teaching us the what & how of creating meals. 😊
Good recipe
Looks good! Love your channel. Greetings from Greece😊
What kind of noodles are these?!
What type of noodles did you use?
Nice job Mike. Sometimes i throw in either chicken mince, or pork mince which i fry off with a bit of extra garlic
I've never seen those type of noodles available in the store what brand are they? Also where can I get them?
Where u got the noodles from ?
Since seeing your "Spicy Noodles" recipe some time ago I make this similar dish at least every other week, changing up the peppers, other veggies and proteins with what I have on hand. I also always add the Hot Crispy Oil you had in previous recipe….very addictive. I usually bulk it up a bit with carrots, celery, cabbage etc.. Looking forward to using the Honey and lime juice you have in this recipe. I haven't tried Shrimp yet either so will get after it again this coming week. Absolutely one of my favorite dishes. You did warn us that it would be. 🙂 Thank you so much, I love getting your newsletters, reading and trying your delicious recipes. Great stuff Mike!!!
mix it with cooked mince and onions, and make a lasagne with it
Please adopt me….you make the most awesome meals. Keep up the great work.
Nice mike
What brand wok is that and where can I get it?
This looks amazing, can't wait to give it a go, sounds really good with seafood!
This looks great. Thank you, Sir!
I'm soooo going to make this. Thank you for sharing this
I appreciate Amazon for ingredients, but I really prefer to go into a store. Asian stores aren’t always convenient however. We have a decent one nearby, but I miss Oyujumai (spelling 😂😂) in Beaverton Oregon. It has a great assortment of center store items but also great fresh vegetables (all sorts of eggplants, fresh kafir leaves, all of the Asian root herbs and vegetables) and Asian cuts of meat. Man I miss that store.
It was soooo delicious!! Thank you for sharing!!
Hahaha, garlic, is not optional…it is mandatory, in copious amounts…😂
