Black Pepper Fish Recipe / Ikan Masak Lada Hitam
Ingredients
boneless fish
egg
white pepper
corn flour
garlic
ginger
onion
dried chilies
green chilies
water
black pepper
oyster sauce
sweet soy sauce
carrot
capsicum
corn flour mixture
salt
cooking oil
Ingredients
300g – 350g boneless fish
1 egg
white pepper
3 tbsp corn flour
2 tbsp garlic
1 inch ginger
1 onion
5 dried chilies
2 green chilies
200ml water
1 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
2-3 tbsp carrot
1 capsicum
corn flour mixture
salt
cooking oil
Method
In a mixing bowl, marinate fish with 1 egg, some white pepper, corn flour and salt. Keep aside for 15-20mins before frying. Fry the fish using medium heat. Separately, heat pan with 2-3tbsp oil and sauté garlic. Add ginger and stir for 1-2mins. Add onion, dried chilies, green chilies, black pepper, oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, white pepper, carrot, capsicum and water. Let it boil. Add fried fish when boiled. Add salt if required.
