Now chili is a really complex recipe, there are a billion and one ways to make it and this is just ONE way
Ingredients:-⬇️
✅3 lbs ground chuck
✅1 lb Owens ground sausage
✅1 green bell pepper, chopped
✅1 medium white onion, chopped
✅3 jalapenos, seeds removed and chopped
✅16 oz tomato sauce
✅16 oz beef broth
✅4-6 oz dark beer (Yuengling)
✅3 tbsp brown sugar
✅3 tbsp chili powder
✅1 tsp cayenne pepper
✅2 tsp paprika
✅2 tsp garlic powder
✅2 tsp onion powder
✅Pinch of cinnamon
✅2 tsp salt, plus more to taste
✅1 1/2 cups kidney beans, soaked overnight and drained
✅1 1/2 cups pinto beans, soaked overnight and drained
Instructions:⬇️
1. Brown the Meat: In a large pot, cook the ground chuck and ground sausage over
medium-high heat until browned. Break up the meat as it cooks. Once browned, drain
off the excess fat.
2. Sauté Veggies: In the same pot, add the chopped green bell pepper, onion, and jalapenos.
Cook for a few minutes until they start to soften.
3. Add the Flavors: Stir in the tomato sauce, beef broth, dark beer, and the pre-soaked
beans. Mix in the brown sugar, chili powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder,
onion powder, and a pinch of cinnamon.
4. Simmer: Bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it cook,
uncovered, for about 1-2 hours. Stir occasionally.
5. Adjust Seasonings: Taste your chili and adjust the salt and other seasonings as needed.
If it's too thick, add a bit more beef broth or beer.
6. Serve: Once the chili has thickened to your liking and the flavors are well combined, it’s
ready to serve. Top with your favorite garnishes like shredded cheese, sour cream, diced
onions, or sliced avocados.

What’s going on good people this is uh Terence Hill with Southern gentleman table TV uh if you haven’t yet please like And subscribe to page down below today uh we’re doing a comfort food dish for the winter time so here in Texas um in north Texas um the temperature outside is
About n degrees right now so for you know for a lot of parts of Texas that’s pretty cold um so today we’re going to do some Texas Chili today all right all right so listen so in my Skillet right here I got some 8020 Angus ground chuck and I have that
Ground sausage that’s kind of like my little secret thing I like to put in here uh with the meat so I’m I’m we Browning that right now after that I got a mixture here I got a whole white onion I got three jalapenos that I took the
Seeds out of and I got one bell pepper that I got chopped up so after I brown this meat we going to put this in we going to start incorporating this bad boy what I’m going eventually do though I’m just starting over here I’m going to
Move all of this over into a crock poot and it’s going to slow cook all night all right stay tuned all right guys we’re back so now listen all of the meat it’s all nice and it’s brown but man it’s sitting in so much you know juice in the in the grease
We don’t want that in the chili so we’re going to drain that out we’re going to strain this meat but then I’m going to take those onions and bell peppers and the hpos and I’m going sauté them a little bit from there then we going to start building this bad boy all right
All right good people all right so listen I got the crock poie ready we got the we got the meat already Brown and so what I’m going to do is first I’m going to dump all of that in there that’s about 4 lbs I got about 3
Lbs of the Chuck a pound of that of that ground pork all right here’s the onions the jalapenos and the bell peppers right that we sweated I’m going to mix all that in in here so again that’s one onion one white onion okay three jalapenos I took
The seeds out and then I got one green bell pepper okay now next thing I have here I have 16 oz of tomato sauce all right here in this bowl I have my spices and I think you can guess what the main spice is Right chili powder course of course
Right I have garlic powder I have paprika I have cayenne pepper I have a little bit of onion powder not much I got real onions in here that’s was good separately what I have as optional and I like to play with these I got 3 tablespoons of dark brown sugar I got cinnamon
Okay over here I have some kidney beans some pinto beans that I soaked overnight so now they’re ready they’re ready to be cooked I got them drained so that’s probably about three cups okay and then last but not least I have beef broth and then another one of my little
Secret ingredients I like that kind of gets chil and lights balance is beer you choose whatever beer you like dark beers are really good for it all right I personally like to use the Yingling beer it gives it a nice flavor all right so now I’m going to start incorporating
This I’ll show you what it looks like we tast and we’re going to leave it alone because the thing about chili is whatever the flavor that we taste right now it’s going to marinate those flavors are going to marinate overnight and it’s going to taste even it’s going to taste
Even better it’s going to taste a little different tomorrow so you got to be careful with the salt content and so on but now we’re going to start putting together all right all right so I wanted you to get a little closer view so here’s again here’s the meat got the got
The veggies in here I got my spices here I’m going start adding it in I’m not going to add it all in at once cuz the thing is about spice you can you can put it in but uh you got to be careful about adding all the spice cuz you can just
Kind of take it out if you need to add a little bit more if you need to excuse me all right so I’m going to mix all that in next thing I’mma to do I’m going go ahead and add my 16 oz of my tomato sauce okay get that all
Incorporated get that mixed in like I said I’m trying to get that all in there here what I’m going to do next is I’m going to add I’m going and add the brown sugar okay that brown sugar is going to balance some of that spice okay all right now before I add the
Beans I’m going to add that beef broth okay now this is the reason why I don’t want to do a ton of salt because this beef broth is going to be it’s got a a pretty decent salt content in it already Okay so this is is like a 32 oz so right
Now that’s about 16 oz that’s about half okay now it’s really starting to shape up look like chili but what I’m going to do next is Oak beans okay going start adding those beans in there okay add all that I’m going come back here in just a
Second I’m going to add a little bit more of the spice that’s starting to really come Together again I’m not using it All of course the ingredients I’ll have it in the bottom of the of the video so no worries if you didn’t if you didn’t catch up with everything I’ll make sure you have it okay all right that’s starting to look really good it’s starting to smell good I’m going to add about
Another 2 to 3 oz of the beef broth last but not least that beer this is a 24 oz beer I’mma add about 6 oz Okay add all that and then guess what we’re going to done we going to let that bad boy simmer all right hold
Tight all right so listen we got everything Incorporated here look at that nice consistency you see that it’s really shaping up really to be good not too runny and the thing is we’re going to give it an opportunity for those all those flavors and stuff to come together okay
Overnight like I said I got it on low and we just going to let it simmer we going to let it simmer and go I’ll check it before I go to bed and and and see where we are but tomorrow we will taste the finished product all right what’s
Going on good people all right so listen Chili’s been going all night just low and now it’s time just let’s taste it all right let’s see let’s take a look here can you see that it looks good look at that consistency I’m just going to get just a
Little bit of that I just want to just taste in and see M yeah see those flavors they came together um and you know what it probably taste even better even later on but that’s that’s really amazing so now you know man you can say
Up you know down here we we love Frito pie right so you get some Fritos and the chili and sour cream and cheese jalapenos but you know whatever you want to do get some cornbread some crackers but this is it man it’s good to go man all right talk to y’all Later
