Hello Viewers,
Today we are going to see a very tasty mutton recipe famous in South India. It is Mutton Sukka. Mutton Sukka is a dry mutton curry. You can have it as a side dish with sambar or rasam rice. Otherwise, you can also enjoy it as it is without any accompaniment. So the key to getting this Mutton Sukka right is in the marinade. The longer time you are going to marinate the mutton, the juicier it will be. I have marinated it for 30 mins in the video, but if you can afford some time of yours, you can marinate it for 1-2 hours and the Sukka will turn out to be amazing. So do try this recipe with the exact steps and enjoy the taste.

Hello everyone welcome to home cooking with nihima subramanian today i’m going to share a lovely delicious mutton recipe this is a typically south indian style mutton chukka it’s a bit dry and the masala is very very simple and very mild so let’s get started and check it out For the mutton sugar i’ve taken one kilo of boneless mutton pieces that have been cut into small size wash the mutton pieces nice and clean first i’m going to add a few spice powders starting with two teaspoons of salt one teaspoon turmeric powder one tablespoon chili powder two teaspoons coriander powder
One and a half teaspoons cumin powder the juice of half lemon and two teaspoons ginger garlic paste add all the ingredients mix it well along with the mutton pieces make sure it’s all coated well and let this sit for about 30 minutes marinating the meat
Will add a lot of flavor to the dish after 30 minutes i’m going to pressure cook the mutton pieces to the pressure cooker add the marinated mutton add about half cup of water mix everything well so i’m not adding too much of water to pressure cook because the mutton
Itself will release a lot of moisture close the pressure cooker and cook for about four to five whistles Wow the mutton has cooked beautifully you can see how beautifully it’s coated with all that masala so keep the mutton aside to a white pan add about two tablespoons of gingerly oil if you don’t have gingerly oil you can use any cooking oil that you have at home next add about 25
Shallots that have been sliced if you don’t have shallots you can just use regular large onions you can use about 3 large onions chopped After 2 minutes add about 2 green chilli slit Next add a few curry leaves curry leaves give a lovely flavor to any dish Now add the cooked mutton pieces to the pan and mix everything well cook for about 10 minutes till all this excess moisture evaporates and the pieces become a bit dry i’m going to finish off by adding one teaspoon of pepper mix everything well you can see the mutton sukkas come
Together so beautifully it’s absolutely delicious if you like it very spicy you can add a little extra pepper you can enjoy this with some nice rasam or sambar or just as is make sure the mutton is nice and fresh while making this dish So you can see how easy this particular dish is to make and i’ve used boneless mutton pieces but you can also use mutton with bone it’s very tasty you can enjoy it as is or have it with some nice rasam or sambar by the side to try the
