The beefy 5-Layer Burrito used to be a cheap option. I didn’t realize how much one of these things by themselves actually costs as I usually get them in a cravings box. But really? $5? Half the time when I get them their shriveled up sad excuses for a value burrito, let alone worth $5.
If this isn’t evidence for the fast food industry’s greed then I don’t know what is. You can get a 5-Layer Burrito as a part of a build your own cravings box for $5.99 as a SIDE. In the same box you can get a cheesy Gordita crunch which is $5.29 when ordered on its own. There’s is no way that TB offers those cravings boxes at a monetary loss. So what that tells me is that all these products with these insanely inflated prices are almost entirely profit.
I’m sure you guys get rants like this constantly, but they charge prices like this and complain when they’re mandated by the state to pay their employees a livable wage. It just makes me mad!

What a rip off
when they were 89 cents I’d just get 4 of them and a drink and be happy
Taco Bell is standing on business
So…..don’t buy it. That’s literally the only message you can send that they would understand.
It’s $3.99 in my area. But still even last year it was the cheap option.
Just for comparison, a bag of 8 frozen El Monterey burritos is $5.
We will always have the cheesy bean. Once that thing becomes $4, its time to pack it up because we lost.
I remember when this and the 1/2lb beef combo burrito were .99 cents. Amazing.
Just make a new account. They are free with the reward. Only time where it’s worth it
It was 2$ when I was a kid, and the cheese they put between the two tortillas could drown a small village.
Every time they remodel a store they rob us of more.
This with Doritos and a Pepsi for under $3
Never buy it separately. Often included in boxes as a “classic” option…which competes with hard/soft taco. I’ll take the 5 layers over those all the time.
Maybe that’s their marketing plan to make that classic option as a 5 layer seem like a great deal. Works for me.
you’re living in the past , man
Generals gathered in their masses, just like bitches with fat asses.
My brother got me on these things when I was in college. Don’t remember the price at the time but in a pinch I would just grab two of em and be satisfied for a few bucks. They became my absolute favorite.
I’m an adult now and the price isn’t anything I can afford, it’s just something I struggle to justify
Miss the good old days when they first came out at 89 cents. Wasn’t even that long ago.
Taco Bell corporate is higher than the customers and store employees
Yeah we get it. Taco Bell prices have went up. As have every other fast food, restaurant, everyday essentials, rent, insurance, groceries, utilities…
