Sharing a healthy and vegan Chili Tofu recipe! It is a protein-rich dish. This recipe requires only a few ingredients but still makes for a delicious entree. I baked the tofu in the oven without oil to make it healthier and used only one tbsp of oil while preparing the dish without compromising the taste. Ingredients for Spicy Chili Tofu –
Tofu 450 grams – firm or extra firm
For marination –
Soya Sauce – 1 tbsp
Red chili sauce – 1 tbsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
For gravy –
Oil – 1 tbsp
Chopped onion – 1/2 medium size
Chopped Colored bell peppers – 1/2 cup
Ginger chopped or paste – 1/2 tsp
Garlic chopped – 1/2 tsp
Chopped tomato – 1/2 cup
Tomato puree – 2 tbsp
Ketchup – 2 tbsp
Sugar – 1/2 tsp
Soya sauce – 1 tbsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp or as per taste
Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
Black pepper powder – 1/8 tsp
Turmeric powder (Optional) – 1/4 tsp
Corn flour or tapioca flour 1 1/2 tbsp –
mix with 1/2 cup water
Apple cider vinegar or any vinegar or lemon juice – 1/2 tsp
Chopped spring onion or Cilantro for garnishing
