It was a beautiful Monday and I had started getting hungry. I decided to go to my local Taco Bell during the lunch rush. I ordered 2 of the Tostadas, 1 Crunchwrap, and 2 plain crackers, all sans tomatoes with extra sour cream. Reviews below:
Crunchwrap, 7/10 – I had high hopes for this, but the giant Cheezit was completely sogged through by the time I got home. I almost thought they forgot to add it but I found soggy remnants amongst the other accoutrements. It was good, but had points taken away due to the major sog. Everything else was as to be expected with a normal CW.
Tostada, 8.5/10 – This was great. The cracker held up nicely mainly because I think the natural juices from the variety of ingredients were only able to penetrate one of the surfaces, allowing the cracker to maintain its rigid integrity. The saltiness from the cracker really cuts through and is a nice addition, although it can be a bit overpowering in some bites.
Cracker, 9/10 – I’m a big fan of Cheezits, and was pumped to find out you could order these plain for $1. They taste exactly like a normal Cheezit, but are a bit saltier and are obviously 16x the size. Very much a novelty, but great nonetheless.
Overall, major kudos to my local TB! They were slammed but got the food out in a very timely manor and it all was of good quality and workmanship.
