Looks good. But ditch the cheese and the cilantro. Pozole goes with lettuce.

I’m sure it’s delicious but respectfully, it doesn’t look like pozole. Pickled onions, avocado, and cheese are interesting topping choices. Usually, it’s Mexican oregano, radish, and cabbage (not lettuce).

I’d try it 😋

It looks good but I’ve never seen posole served with cheese, cilantro, avocados and pickled onions.

cilantro and avo is bomb in pozole. looks great

Looks like there’s not enough liquid. Not sure about the cheese. Let the chili flow. Would eat 2 bowls.

Ditch the cheese, cilantro and lime slices.
Regarding the onion, I’d recommend you raw finely chopped onion, either white or red.
Lettuce or cabbage are the common main veggies, radishes too.
Dried chili powder and oregano to spice it up.
Lime juice for the acidity kick.
You can also get some creme fraiche to eat with your tostadas along your pozole.

Maybe it’s because I mainly eat it for special occasions or the holidays but the portions seem really small
Like the other said, the toppings are different too but if it taste good, you do you OP

Garnishes are not traditional
Elgransancho4
I respect the attempt. As mentioned lose the cilantro, pickled onions and cheese.
The traditional way would be sliced raw onions, cabbage or lettuce finely chopped & radish. Lime and oregano
Tostadas, but some like it with bread. Depends on the region they are from.
Edit: also if you like picante you can make a red chilly sauce from chile de árbol. Add some crema and slap it on a tostada.
Tuamigofriend
That does not look like pozole but looks tasty.

Thanks for trying. Thankfully it isn’t a Raychel Ray disaster 🙄
It looks pretty close to the real thing. If you are around any Mexican restaurants, you may want to eat it there so you’re more informed on how to eat it.

Looks delicious!🤤

Más caldito, pero se ve bueno. El queso como que no va, pero cada quien.

Avocado wtf dude

Where’s the pozole (hominy)?

You seemed to put effort on it, but next time stick to the recipe, all those toppings mess with the flavor.

So many people coming for the cheese! 🫣 I like a little queso fresco on top of my cabbage layer, but I am a cheese fiend hehehe. I think sometimes people forget that every family does it a little different ! And there is personal taste. I get made fun of for all the cabbage I put on mine 😂 like I’m trying to eat a salad 😂 and I would never put any hot sauce or tapatio on top, I think it takes away from the pozole’s deep flavors. And I don’t like avocado cos I hate warm/hot avocado. I know so many people dislike raw onion so the choice of pickled is fine tbh lol. The only weird thing for me is the limes. They are too thinly sliced to squeeze in! You want to squeeze in the like juice rather than just have the lime float in the soup 😋
Your first attempt looks great if a little fancy 😉I think just research, eat, and try and bunch of different ways until you find your favorite 🙌 the vast majority of pozole I have eaten has not been from a restaurant since it is traditionally served for holidays and events. I’ve tried sooooo many different families’ and church event pozole in my years. I love my pozole rojo thick with salsa rojo and chunky/PACKED, with meat, hominy and garnish. Enjoy your pozole journey!

Is that cheese? I’ve never had it with cheese. I usually have a tostada with crema and salsa macha on the side.
