I bought seeds from three different Amazon sellers for three different types of Scotch bonnets (red, yellow, and chocolate). The reds are obviously coming in as mad hatters, and the chocolates are looking like habaneros. These yellows looked the closest to scotch bonnets and ripened first, but they're definitely something else.
They are less hot than a jalepeño, and have a very vegetal taste. I've already identified sellers to buy from for next year, but man am I bummed. My first year growing from seed, and I'm stuck with peppers I didn't want.
