I am trying to make empanadas since the restaurant my husband loves closed down.
I bought the Maseca Instant Corn Masa Flour (linked here https://www.walmart.com/ip/MASECA-Traditional-Instant-Corn-Masa-Flour-4-Lb/10291185?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=1579&gclsrc=aw.ds&adid=2222222227710291185_161193766053_21214199653&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=697173827980&wl4=pla-2300760861495&wl5=9009706&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=10291185&veh=sem_LIA&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwuG1BhCnARIsAFWBUC2etVyoBpWMpN9ihUs2SlHNkAXFCg9Jo8rqgmwDseaE_YT-qBGkYi0aAhCfEALw_wcB )
It says on the bottom of the bag "Tortillas, Tomales, Pupusas, Atoles, Empanadas, Gorditas, Sopes". All the recipes I found call for Masarepa, not Masa Harina. Can you make empanadas with this flour? If not, why is it listed on the bag?
