Any idea what these ‘chocolate habaneros’ actually are? I have some guesses but nothing concrete

This has been the most confusing season yet, even without the weather anomalies and climate struggle.

My cayenne plant is now growing serranos as well, one mystery pepper hasn’t fruited at all despite copious budding, and then this chocolate habanero plant sprouted these cuties. Which, honestly, I’m thrilled by (as long as they’re not mild).

Unfortunately it’s been taking ages for all of my plants to ripen, so I’ve been in suspense for what feels like forever.

Appears to be a normal “Pepper Joe” season of pepper growing to me. Pics look like 7 pot, but it could be some variety of Trinidad/scorpion. Hard to say until you have more color.

Whatever it is, it’s a beautiful phenotype!

my habaneros are super wrinkly this year idk i don’t think it’s a 7 pot though 7 pots have such an intense wrinkle this reminds me more of a habanero/ ghost wrinkle
