This dish combines two favorites in a delicious and budget-friendly way! The ingredient amounts (also in grams) are right in the description and the print recipe is linked there as well. As always, thanks for liking our recipes and videos and sharing our family table each week.
Who else audibly gasped when the taste tester put those two jalapeno pieces on his spoon?
Great content and recipe! Can't wait for James to start cooking!!
The best part of this video is that you not only invited your son to taste the dish, but you asked for his opinion and what he liked about it. That'll not only make you a better cook, but it will help him to make good food choices when he's out on his own!
Yeah, I really like James but I love the food. lol
Love your channel
That blast from the past…Allen with the hat backwards….super cool 😎
Hey Jim and Terra. I've been a fan of your channel for years made a bunch of your recipes. You guys do a great job. But the thing I miss the most is your podcast. Any chance it might come back on a limited basis?
I love the idea of making this into fried balls. My preference for halftime snacks would be cookie scoop size with some sort of food processor crushed chip instead of breadcrumbs. Maybe Doritos, corn chips, or pork rinds. My reality is that I lack the patience for all that scooping and rolling. I'd spread it into a parchment lined jelly roll pan or sheet pan, refrigerate it overnight, then cut it into small squares before proceeding to the breading station 😊
I made this over the weekend and it was chef’s kiss perfection! This will be in regular rotation for fall and winter.
Wait, how could anyone not brown their chop meat first? That should def be illegal 🤓 Looks delicious!

In my country Malta, we call that imqarrun il forn, if you used ziti instead.
This is incredibly good and easy to make! I used a box of elbow macaroni which most of us have in the house, left out the beans, only used 1lb of ground chuck and liked the cilantro so much that I put two TBSP of finely chopped in the mix as a last step. I didn't have chili powder so I used a TexMex powder I had in the house – excellent. Also I only used two cups of cheese, I didn't want to overwhelm it. Thanks so much for the great recipe, this is a great channel!
"Make it your own." That's what I do with a lot of these. I also watch That Dude Can Cook. When I make Beef Burgundy, I make a combination of your recipe and his, taking what I like from each.
Made this yesterday – it was delish and a big hit with the family! Did not have a red pepper, and mixed cheddar and mozzarella, but it worked out fine. Looking forward to making it according to the recipe next time!
Very important to teach your family about cooking 😊
Nice meal. Like the idea of shells instead of elbows. If you use medium shells, you get a bit of the Chili/Cheese mixture inside the shells. I like to add a cup or so of corn. You get the color and the sweetness of the corn. And more veggies.
Jim, I subscribed and joined Patreon but in considering upgrading, I need to know what this means, please: "Includes Discord benefits" Thanks. – Marilyn
I love your son is following in your cooking footsteps! Yum, yay! Chili macaroni, love it.
Oh yeah! I just made chili the other day and have so much leftover. This will give me a good use for it so I'm not eating just chili all week long.
thank jesus, I've been trying to figure out this kitchen for ever and how you're a cooking show with such a small sink.
This is a lot like Cincinnati chili —just without the cinnamon and unsweetened coco powder
Excited to try this version tonight
Adorable kid! 😊
