When I was growing up, my granny was my favorite cook. My mama was also a fantastic cook, but there was just something about being in granny’s kitchen. We all gathered around the table when we went to her house. I have made it easy for you to learn how to cook like my granny and mama did with cooking tutorials for every recipe in our cookbooks. You can see how to order these by visiting us on our website. Oh, and no difficult-to-find or crazy ingredients! Just simple ingredients and delicious food. I am a Southern girl born and raised in Collard Valley in Polk County, Georgia. We went to church on Sunday, school during the week, and the grocery store on Friday, and that was our life: no vacations, no camping, just plain old southern country people.
If you learn to cook like my mama and granny, you will become one of the best Southern cooks. Thank you so much for being a part of this dream of mine.

  1. I just found your sight a few days ago. I can’t stop watching. I grew up in West Tennessee and 43 yrs ago moved to Texas. Your method of cooking is just like me and the way my mama did it too. I love your comments and everything. You’ve found your calling. I wish you much luck in your new home and cooking features. There’s one thing I did notice. You were making hamburger steaks. You really mix it a lot. I was always told that the less you mix the more tender it’ll be. My mother in law also believe it. And she knew it all. lol.

  2. I'm a Texan, and call me crazy, but I LOVE pinto and red kidney beans in my chili – and I'm NOT the only Texan who loves the beans in chili. I'm from San Antonio where chili was BORN, and that original chili from way back then HAD BEANS IN IT!!! So come at me Texas! I'll tell you to pull up your britches and learn your history better!!!

  3. Lovely show! Liked that each of you cooked. Love watching Chris cook. He relaxes me. Chris is much more handsome without the old man glasses. 🤣

  4. I’m very picky about my chili. Mine is never as good as momma’s and my sister’s. Both have went home to be with Jesus. My momma and sister always used Mexene chili powder, tomato paste, tomato sauce ( red gold) light red kidney bean (2) cans, 3 lbs ground beef, and 2 big onions and 1/2 lb spaghetti. I would love to eat their chili just one more time. It’s that time of the year to get chili fixins stocked up and veggie soup. I bet these are delicious. Thank you Tammy and Chris.. Love ya❗️❤

  5. Looks soooo good! I use the Joan of Arc spicy chili beans, they give it a slight kick😋
It's going to be 90 degrees today and a possible TS/hurricane threat later in the week so the chili may have to wait.😊
    Have a great day!!

  6. I always make rice and cornbread when I make chili. And we each eat it in different combinations. Chili is great like that, everyone can make it just the way they like. 😊

  7. Great video. Give Mexene Chili Powder a try…. Great stuff out of Texas and I think it adds all extra of that chili flavor.

  8. No beans in my chili! Evah!!! And if I order some from a restaurant ~ I will sit and pick out every bean before eating that bowl if chili. People misguidedly think it's the beans that make it chili ~ it's NOT! It's the spices you use that make a great chili! Period, drop the mic! 🎤

  9. Y'all sure make me laugh! Both look so good. I guess you have all your chili made for the winter for just 2 of you.🥰

  10. Love your videos Tammy & Chris. I ordered the flat whisk the biscuit cutters, the pig tail meat flipper too from your website. Where did you get your white dinner plates and bowls from? I couldn't find them on your website. Thank you.

  11. Chris the lost onion …. 😃 a nice children's book. A storm coming down south God Bless You both and be safe. Love your recipes and love watching you both. 🥰

  12. I’ve been dying for chili for a couple weeks now, 2 good looking chilis, I’ve done it both ways, with ground meat and actually tenderloin, I bought a whole one and kind of hacked it up making steaks out of it used all the rest in chili, it was so good.

  13. I cook my onion peppers in my meat to together, I only use one pot pan to save on dishes. I always ♥️ make a double, for extra to warm up for lunch, dinner or freeze it for another day 😊
