Homemade Chili & Cornbread Muffins

*Cornbread*

1 box Krusteaz Southern Cornbread
1 Cup Whole Milk
2 Eggs
1/3 Cup Melted Butter

*Homemade Chili*

1 Lb Ground Beef
1 Yellow Onion (diced)
1 Can (8oz) Tomato Sauce
2 Cups Kidney Beans
1 Can Diced Tomatoes
4 Cups Water
3 Tsp Chili Powder
1 Tsp Sea Salt
1 Tsp Oregano
1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
2 Tsp Fresh Garlic
1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp Avocado Oil

*Toppings* (optional)

Shredded Cheese
Red Onions
Green Onions
Sour Cream

*Steps*

1.) Soak Beans overnight in water & place on the stove in a pot and cook until softened if using dry beans (do not add salt this will prevent the beans from becoming soft)
2.) Drizzle a pan with avocado oil place the beef on the stove and sauté until brown
3.) Add the onions to the pan (drain meat if needed)
4.) Move the beef and onions to a pot
5.) Add in the remaining ingredients and let simmer for an hour or up to six hours
6.) Get a mixing bowl for the cornbread and begin adding all of the ingredients for the cornbread
7.) Whisk Well
8.) Line the muffin tray with cupcake liners
9.) Fill each liner 2/3 full and bake at 375 degrees for 18 minutes
10.) Plate up your Chili and Cornbread
11.) Enjoy
