Hey loves! Valentineās Day is right around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than with a romantic home-cooked dinner? Today, Iām showing you how to make the perfect Garlic butter ribeye steakājuicy, flavorful, and absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Whether youāre cooking for your partner or treating yourself, this recipe is sure to impress. Letās get into it
Ingredients!
For the Chimichurri:
⢠A handful of fresh parsley (finely chopped)
⢠1 red chili pepper (finely chopped)
⢠3 garlic cloves (minced)
⢠1 shallot (finely chopped)
⢠Salt and pepper to taste
⢠¼ cup olive oil
⢠2 tbsp red wine vinegar
For the Ribeye Steak:
⢠1 ribeye steak (1ā1.5 inches thick)
⢠1 tbsp salt
⢠1 tbsp black pepper
⢠3 smashed garlic cloves
⢠A few sprigs of rosemary
⢠4 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
1. Make the Chimichurri:
⢠In a small bowl, combine parsley, red chili pepper, minced garlic, and shallot.
⢠Stir in olive oil and red wine vinegar.
⢠Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside to let the flavors meld.
2. Prepare the Steak:
⢠Pat the ribeye dry and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
⢠Let the steak sit at room temperature for 20 minutes.
3. Cook the Steak:
⢠Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
⢠Add a drizzle of oil, then place the steak in the pan. Sear for 3-4 minutes on one side without moving.
⢠Flip and sear for another 3 minutes on the other side.
4. Baste with Butter:
⢠Add the butter, smashed garlic cloves, and rosemary to the pan.
⢠Tilt the pan slightly and spoon the melted butter over the steak for 1-2 minutes.
5. Rest & Serve:
⢠Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes.
⢠Slice against the grain and drizzle generously with chimichurri.
