Ingredients
For the Chili Base:

⢠4 cloves garlic, minced
⢠1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken for a leaner option)
⢠1 lb ground pork or sausage (optional for added richness)
⢠1 green bell pepper, diced
⢠1 red bell pepper, diced
⢠1 jalapeño, finely chopped (optional, for heat)
Spices:
⢠2 tbsp chili powder
⢠1 tbsp smoked paprika
⢠1 tbsp ground cumin
⢠1 tsp oregano
⢠1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
⢠Salt and black pepper to taste
Canned Goods:
⢠1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes
⢠1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
⢠1 cup beef or chicken broth
⢠1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
⢠1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
⢠1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
Extras:
⢠2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
⢠1 tbsp sugar or honey (to balance acidity)
Toppings:
⢠Sour cream
⢠Shredded cheddar or pepper jack cheese
⢠Chopped green onions
⢠Fresh cilantro
⢠Sliced avocado
⢠Crushed tortilla chips

Instructions
1. SautƩ the Aromatics:
Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sautƩing until fragrant and softened (about 3 minutes).
2. Cook the Meat:
Add the ground beef and pork (if using). Cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles with a wooden spoon. Drain any excess fat.
3. Add the Veggies:
Stir in the bell peppers and jalapeƱo. Cook for 3-5 minutes until slightly softened.
4. Spice it Up:
Sprinkle in the chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, oregano, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat the mixture in the spices.
5. Build the Base:
Add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and broth. Stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
6. Add the Beans and Corn:
Stir in the kidney beans, black beans,Add the Worcestershire sauce and sugar or honey. Let it simmer on low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
7. Taste and Adjust:
Taste the chili and adjust seasonings if needed. Add a splash of broth if the chili is too thick.
8. Serve and Top:
Ladle the chili into bowls and top with your choice of garnishes like sour cream, cheese, green onions, cilantro, avocado, or crushed tortilla chips.
