One-Pan Chicken with Bell Peppers and Onions in Honey-Soy-Butter-Sesame Sauce



Ingredients:
1.1 lbs (500 grams) boneless chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
Salt (to taste)
Black pepper (freshly ground preferred)
1 medium red bell pepper, julienned
1 medium onion, diced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon melted butter (for cooking)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon vegetable oil or 1 more tablespoon of melted butter (if needed for cooking)
Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:
1. Place the bite-sized chicken pieces in a bowl. Season with salt and black pepper to your liking and mix.
2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the vegetable oil or butter.
3. Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened and lightly golden, about 3-4 minutes.
4. Add the julienned red bell pepper to the skillet with the onions and sauté until the pepper is slightly tender, about 5 minutes.
5. Create a little space in the skillet by pushing the vegetables to one side.
6. Add a little more vegetable oil or butter if needed.
7. Add the seasoned chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Avoid overcrowding the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
8. Once the chicken is cooked, mix it with the sautéed onions and bell peppers.
9. Pour the soy sauce and honey into the skillet. Stir everything together and let the sauce slightly thicken, about 1-2 minutes.
10. Drizzle the melted butter over the mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Cook for another minute, stirring to combine and heat through.
11. Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired, and serve hot with rice or noodles.
