Pepper Chicken Curry | How to make Pepper Chicken | Black Pepper Chicken Curry Recipe
Here in this Pepper chicken curry video, I will show you how I make pepper chicken curry at home. It is made without cashew or cream. Made with simple ingredients.

Ingredients to make Pepper Chicken Curry
• Hung Curd – Put 1/2 cup curd/yogurt in a strainer to drain off extra water from it.
• 2.5 tsp black pepper

To marinate Chicken
• 500 grams of bone-in chicken
• Half of the crushed pepper
• Hung Curd
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 3 tsp coriander powder
• 1 tsp red chili powder
• 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

For the onion paste
• 3 tsp oil
• 3 medium-sized onions, sliced

For the curry
• 3 tsp oil
• 1/2 inch cinnamon
• 2 green cardamoms
• 2 tomatoes
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp Kasuri Methi
• 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
• remaining crushed black pepper
• 2 green chilies
• 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

How to make it
• Crush black pepper to a coarse powder. Do not make a fine powder, but do not keep it too coarse. See the texture. Keep it aside.
• Marinate the chicken with curd, pepper, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt, cumin, and ginger-garlic paste. Combine and marinate for 30 minutes. Keep it aside.
• Heat 3 tsp of oil over medium heat. Add onion slices. Stir and cook until golden brown. Once it starts to brown, reduce the heat and stir. Remove it to a plate and let it cool down completely. Transfer this to a mixer jar. Add a little water and grind to a fine paste.
• Heat 3 tsp of oil over a medium heat. Add cinnamon and green cardamom. Saute for 30 seconds.
• Add the chicken. Spread it so that there’s enough space between chicken pieces. Let it cook until light golden on both sides. Add a little water if it sticks to the pan. Cook it for 3-4 minutes.
• Add the onion paste. Combine.
• Puree 2 tomatoes in a mixer jar and add it to the curry. Add a little water. Cook it for 5 minutes uncovered. Cover and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked. Taste and add salt, kasuri methi, garam masala, black pepper, green chilies, and coriander leaves.
• Combine and cook on low heat for 2 minutes. Black Pepper Chicken Curry is ready to serve. Thick creamy curry without cashew or cream. Pair it with Roti, Naan, or Rice.
