  1. I dont know of any Filipino who has ever made their own sweet chili sauce….it is TRADITIONAL to buy it!!!

  2. the regular lumpia needed a minute or 2 minutes more of frying. you can see the i ner wrapper still white and raw/ chewy.
try the green chili and eden cheese combo.. way better than meat filling and chili.

i dont mind lumpia being featured by you.. it promotes Filipino food. i dont see why theres soooo much hate…

  3. Take a baton size of that cheese, wrap the meat around it, and sandwich between the two pepper halves before rolling. Trust. 😉

  4. I was at a Filipino wedding reception recently and just stood by the lumpia table stuffing my face the whole time. Couldn’t stop myself 😅

  5. in the past i ate lumpia at some fiesta and the filling was undercooked and i was scared of getting sick.
so whenever i make my own lumpia i cook the filling first before wrapping it… this way you can also store it in freezer and cook whenever you want since the inside is cooked already you can just do a quick fry to brown the wrapper.

  6. Try potato rolls/lumpia basically aligot wrapped in lumpia wrapper. The crisp lasts longer than the usual french fry.😊😊😊

  7. 7:55 this is true it will definitely burn your tongue, and then you'll resort to juggling it around your mouth, but honestly, I think once in your life, you should try it 😂

  8. These three are excellent gateway variations of lumpia!

    Some others:
We also use leftover milkfish cooked in onions with a bit of soy and calamansi. Nice way to recycle.

Dynamite is also commonly done with cheese (or ham and cheese) inside instead of meat. Classic streetfood.

The cheese version, my family wraps the cheese stick up in spinach (or water spinach) and adds some minced garlic then rolls up the lumpia. I introduced it to my wife when we got married and she loves them.

  9. Sometimes, when we make the Dynamite version, we put red chillis on some and mix it with those that don't have red chilli, then we serve it as a bar snack. We're like playing a russian roulette of dynamite lumpia.
