I learned this in Texas!

I make a chili cheese tot casserole.

  1. Umm just substitute the hot dogs for ground beef. Put the tots on the side. Then grill, bake, fry, boil, or even microwave some hotdogs. Can't go wrong with that kind of chilli. Put the hot dogs in a bun and then be extra generous with the chili on top. I would be much much much more satisfied and grateful. Or at least give me some kind of bread bowl or bread scoop. I've done this before it was a thing. I was young and broke though. Maybe lay some dough across the top when baking it. The bun/the bread makes it more complete and delicious. Chili dogs almost fall in the comfort food zone. Or just barely cross over into the comfort food zone. This is unacceptable after a certain point in life. This a broke youngsters meal or a meal for someone allergic to bread but still wants to participate in the festivities

  2. I was born in Texas and have lived here all my life. I would throw the casserole away and eat the cheese.

  3. Check those can labels. Sodium in one cup of canned chili is 990mg. Hot dogs, chili, etc. Kidney failure in the making.
