Beef and Pepper Rice Bowls 🥩🫑🍚

Showing you all how to make this high-protein and flavorful dish right at home! It is packed with flavor and comes together in only 20 minutes. I used ready-to-heat rice for the convenience, but you can also make it from scratch. Perfect for meal prep or a weeknight dinner. Enjoy!

Serving Size: 100g cooked rice, 300g beef and pepper mix

Main Ingredients:
-2 lbs 90% lean ground beef
-650g cooked rice for serving
-2 bell peppers, small diced
-1 yellow onion, small diced
-1 bunch of green onions, whites and greens finely chopped and separated
-1 tbs minced garlic or garlic paste
-1 tbs minced ginger or garlic paste
-2 tsp olive oil
-toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Sauce Ingredients:
-1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
-1 tbs sesame oil
-1 tbs honey
-1 tbs hoisin sauce
-2 tsp cornstarch

Instructions:
-heat pan to medium-high heat and add tsp of oil
-add beef, cook each side until seared, break apart, and completely brown
-remove cooked beef and set aside; add another tsp of oil into the pan
-add peppers and onions; sauté for several minuted until softened
-add sauce ingredients into container and mix well
-add in garlic, ginger, and chopped green onion whites; sauté for 1 min
-add cooked beef back into pan; mix well
-add in sauce and mix well; let sauce thicken and coat beef evenly before turning off heat
-cook rice according to package instructions
-build bowls and garnish with chopped green onions tops and sesame seeds
