Pepper Garlic Rasam is one of the easiest, quickest and healthy rasam out of all the Rasam. It can be made within 15 minutes and a very flavourful one. During cold, pepper and garlic helps you to feel relieved. You can enjoy even having as a hot soup! I always make this now and then.

Garlic is known for it’s natural antibiotic property. So Using it along with black pepper freshly not only is refreshing but also serves as remedy.

Ingredients:
Black Pepper, 1 Tbsp
Cumin Seeds, 1/2 Tbsp
Curry Leaves, 2 Sprigs
Garlic, 3 cloves
Puréed Tomatoes, 3
Tamarind Water, 300ml
Salt to taste
Turmeric, 1 Tsp Coriander to garnish

Instructions:
* Soak tamarind and extract the tamarind juice, keep aside.
* On a tawa, dry roast jeera, black pepper and curry leaves.
* Transfer them to a silbatta/mixer grinder, and pound coarsely.
Add garlic and pound again.
* Add Tomato puree in a kadai followed by tamarind extract, salt, haldi and bring to boil.
* Add the crushed pepper and garlic. mix well and switch off (don’t let boil)
* Garnish with coriander.
