  1. i literally didnt learn anything about safety. how long they stay safe to eat.
i just learned "soak em in vinegar and put them in olive oil".
so i guess just.. sniff it and pray ?

  2. I have some not so fresh peppers. Can I still do this? I picked them and lost track of time with doing something with them

  3. Do you need to keep the pepper in the fridge before adding the oil? Thanks 😊

  4. This looks like a nice way to preserve some peppers. I might try it with my serranos. My only problem with this video is you said chili peppers about 400 times, but never told us what kind of peppers those actually are.

  5. First time I see the vinager step when preserving chilies in oil, I like it a lot and will do it like that from now on. Thanks for the video!

  6. I cut up a pound of habaneros without gloves once. My hands felt really weird for a few hours after. This recipe looks great.

  7. Thanks for tip on preserving first in salt a vinegar but WHY is this step important?

  8. The easiest chili oil recipe I saw so far. My next project is to make spicy vinegar by covering the chilies with my homemade apple vinegar. Thank you for the recipe.

  9. This is the first time I’ve heard of the vinegar step !? You didn’t mention how to store , like in refrigerator, shelf , what to do after it’s opened, lots of questions!

  10. I have the same recipe but I add cauliflower and carrots cut up small similar to the peppers and follow the same steps. 30% cauliflower ,30% carrots, and 40% hot peppers. What this does is reduce the intensity of the hot peppers and it’s more palatable for individuals who like hot peppers but not too hot.

  11. I Always do it with chiltepin chillies and lots of garlic too šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡²šŸ¦…šŸ‡²šŸ‡ŗšŸ¦¤

  12. Isn't the vinegar washes out the hotness of the chillies ?
I love my chillies. I just cut them and keep them in olive oil. The only thing they only last about a month.

  13. Where do I store the finished chili peppers?
    Shelf or fridge.
    Looks delicious šŸ˜‹.
    Thank you so much.
Please reply. I love your recipe and your presentation.

  14. I weight the cut peppers. Add 30% vinegar, 3% salt. I lightly crush them in lowest blender speed. I canned them in Mason. No need for olive oil unless you want to add it. Is cheaper and works for up to 2 years.

  15. We grew our own from seed, we now have 10 pots of peppers. It looks like a pepper farm……
Aye Caramba! I think we will give some away😮😮😮😮😮😮😮

  16. I wish our three stories carry red chilies. Live up in Juneau Alaska, they would be spoiled by the time they get up here. All our food gets barged up u because, we can only get here by plane or boat. Do have dried Thai chili peppers that I ordered from Amazon, can I not hydrate them? To use like fresh.

  17. how long does this last in the pantry? can you leave them 24 hour again to dry more after the vinegar with another round of salt? thanks! great video
