Chicken Donuts Recipe

These crispy and delicious Chicken Donuts are perfect for snacks or tea-time treats. They are soft inside and crunchy outside, making them a great party appetizer!

Ingredients

For the Chicken Mixture:
• 250g boneless chicken (boiled & shredded)
• 1 boiled potato (mashed)
• 1 small onion (finely chopped)
• 1 green chili (finely chopped)
• ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
• ½ tsp black pepper powder
• ½ tsp red chili flakes
• ½ tsp garlic powder (or 1 small garlic clove, minced)
• ½ tsp dried oregano (optional)
• 1 tbsp fresh coriander (chopped)
• 2 tbsp mayonnaise or cream cheese (for extra softness)

For Coating:
• ½ cup all-purpose flour
• 1 egg (beaten)
• 1 cup breadcrumbs

For Frying:
• Oil for deep frying

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough
1. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, mashed potato, onion, green chili, salt, black pepper, red chili flakes, garlic powder, oregano, coriander, and mayonnaise.
2. Mix well until everything is combined and forms a dough-like consistency.

Step 2: Shape the Donuts
1. Take a small portion of the mixture and roll it into a ball.
2. Flatten it slightly and make a hole in the center using a small cutter or bottle cap to create a donut shape.
3. Repeat the process with the remaining mixture.

Step 3: Coat the Donuts
1. Coat each donut with flour, then dip it into the beaten egg, and finally, coat it with breadcrumbs.
2. Repeat for all donuts and let them rest for 10 minutes. (This helps the coating stick better.)

Step 4: Frying the Donuts
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
2. Fry the donuts until they turn golden brown and crispy (about 3-4 minutes per side).
3. Remove from oil and place them on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

Step 5: Serve
