Ball Chili Recipe Final Made with Clipchamp

#Canuary2026
This is my first video (1 of 2) in the collab #Canuary2026 hosted by @SuttonsDaze . I’m thrilled to be participating again this year, and I hope you enjoy my two video contributions.

Ball Chili Recipe:

5 Pounds of ground beef
2 cups of chopped onions
2 gloves of fresh garlic
1/2 cup of chili powder
4 1/2 tsp of salt
1 red chili pepper, chopped
6 cups of tomatoes with juice
*Alternative seasoning: 1/3 cup of chili powder, 2 tsp of ground cumin, 2 tsp salt, 1 tsp dried oregano, 1 tsp ground coriander. Remember, you can use any dry spices you like in your canning recipes, as they will not alter the recipe in any way.

Directions: Brown and drain the ground beef, add in the onions and garlic, and cook until the onions are tender. Next, add in the tomatoes with juice and seasoning. Bring the chili to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes. Next, ladle the chili into pint-sized jars, leaving 1 inch of headspace in each jar. Be sure to wipe your jar rims down with a clean paper towel and vinegar to clean them before placing your canning lids on top. Pints need to be canned for 75 minute and quarts need to be canned for 90 minutes at your proper pressure for your altitude.

  1. Thanks for helping in the Canuary event. I appreciated the extra tips. We don't eat cows or pigs, so am limited somewhat as to what can do. Any idea if I can use ground turkey and/or beans instead of beef in this recipe or would that throw off the safety factor?

  2. I've never canned chilly because of the grease, but your instructions have changed my mind. So I'm going to certainly try this method. Thank you for sharing. It looks delicious!

  3. I love Canuary. I watched every episode last year. All of you do such a great job. I have not canned chili yet but I may give it a try. Thank you for all you put in your videos.

  9. Hi Keri, thank you for doing Canuary again this year! We love Chili and this just reminded me that I need to make some more for our pantry shelves. 😋 You are right, this is great on Hotdogs and we have made Chili Taco's. 🌭🌮

  10. Love chili, but I have to make mine with chicken since I can't eat beef. I don't have a pressure canner. I know two people who have pressure canners, maybe I can borrow one…
