Methi matar malai recipe.

Ingredients-

1 bunch fresh methi 🍃(1 guchi)
1/4 tsp Oil (for cooking methi)
1/2 tsp for cooking
1 tbsp Butter 🧈
7-8 Cashew
1/2 cup Milk
1 onion 🧅
1 inch ginger 🫚
1-2 green chillies 🌶️
2 tomato 🍅
1/2 cup Boiled peas 🫛 (hare matar)
1/2 tsp zeera
1 bay leaf (tej patta)
2 small cardamom (choti elaychi)
5-6 black pepper (kali mirch)
Salt 🧂
Red chilli powder 🌶️
Turmeric 🔆
Coriander powder
Zeera powder
Garam masala
Fresh cream / malai
Chopped fresh coriander 🌿

Recipe-

First Clean, thoroughly wash and roughly chop the fresh methi.

In a pan add oil & cook methi for 2-3 minutes until it releases its water.

Soak cashews in hot water for 20 minutes. Then add 1/2 cup milk in soaked cashews & grind to make a paste.

Next, in a pan add oil, butter, zeera, cardamom,bay leaf,black pepper. Then add finely chopped onions, grated ginger & chopped green chili. Cook it for 1-2 min. Then add tomato puree and all the dry spices mentioned above in the ingredients. Mix all well. Add 2-3 tbsp water, cover & cook for 7-8 minutes at low flame.

Now add boiled peas, cashew paste and cooked methi. Mix well, cover & cook for another 3-4 min on low flame.

At the end add garam masala, chopped coriander and fresh cream(or malai).

Serve with roti or naan & enjoy 😍
