I have been craving hatch chili stew since trying it in New Mexico. I am so glad that I attempted to recreate it because it was delicious!
Ingredients:
2 tbsp oil
2 lbs pork
1/2 c diced yellow onion
4 minced garlic cloves
1/4 c flour
2 c fresh diced tomatoes
13 oz diced green Chilies or 2 c hatch Chilies
6 c chicken broth
2 diced potatoes
1 tsp of each: onion powder, garlic powder, salt, white sugar
optional seasonings: green chili powder, Mexican oregano, dash of comino
ps.add a side of garlic bread. This is how it was served to us and it was the perfect bread to dip into this stew.
