This is the first attempt at growing Rocoto plants. I planted these in the back row and all have very long stems and sans cotyledons (so undoubtedly will die out). The row next to it contains Yellow Fatalis and Chocolate Trinidad Scorpions, with the rest of the tray containing various other hots. All but one seed pod has germinated (and the one looks to be ready to sprout). My thinking is that my grow light is too far away but the rest of the plants seem to be okay with the distance. I've since resown Rocoto seeds (orange and red) in a coir/peat/perlite mix and have them in a different grow tent. By the way, before I get comments on the green seed pods, these were from last year, stored in an overly moist Ziplock. It didn't seem to affect the germination. Also, I don't water until they feel dry.
Any thoughts, suggestions on the Rocoto's appreciated. Thanks!

Are you sure they weren’t onion seeds? Onion seeds are also black so potentially easy to mix up
LOL! So you bought some ROCOTO seeds from Amazon also! Those are Onions that the fly by night seller on Amazon sold you. I reported them last year but Amazon allows the to keep selling. So real question: did you order them from Amazon? if so file a fraud report with Amazon and they will return your money even if it is past time.
