Ingredients:
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 jalapeno, diced
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 Tbl. tomato paste
Chili and Taco seasoning to taste
1 – small can Chili Beans
1 – small can Kidney Beans
1 – small can Black Beans
4 cups beef broth (or black coffee – secret ingredient)
Cheddar cheese – garnish optional
Sliced jalapeno – garnish optional
Sour cream – garnish optional
Oyster crackers – garnish optional
Cilantro – garnish optional
Brown the ground beef over high heat in a slow cooker or skillet.
Season the beef with the chili and taco seasoning. Add the onion, jalapeno and garlic and stir to combine.
Add the beans and stir to combine.
Add the beef broth or coffee and stir. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
Turn the slow cooker to medium and let cook for 4 hours.
Serve hot with your favorite garnishes.
