Looks yummy! We always had a big family meal after church on Sundays. Mom would put a roast in the oven before church so it would be ready for when we got home!
Standing by the stove waiting for my grandma's fried chicken begging for a taste I was the official taste tester. She passed when I was 7 never had anymore that tastes quite like hers
Playing mahjong on my grandmas desktop computer 🖥️ and also being in awe of all her church outfits. Baby she had the suits and hats and shoes to MATCH! 🫶🏽 passed in 99 and it been the same since 😢
I love your channel. My favorite childhood memory was when my grandparents use to come for the summer make us get out there n rake the yard then my granddad would kill a raccoon or a rabbit then my grandma use to cook it with some rice n some kind of vegetables usually string beans. Then they would sit us down n tell us stories about them growing up. I miss my grandparents on my mom side. Hey I wanted to know what kind of pots those are that u cooking with ❤
Put a metal spoon in your mouth, the onion won’t bother your eyes. Idk the science behind it but it works! My grandma from Louisiana taught us that as kids. Been doing it my whole life!
Haven't tried it yet, but I heard that letting a candle burn while cutting an onion helps. I use sweet onions, so I don't usually have that problem anymore. ❤😊
Get you some tooth picks and put 2 in between your teeth bit down breathe through your mouth out your nose. My grandma tought me that she's from New Orleans herself
Hello so glad I ran across your videos very encouraging and I love just watching you do your thing I also love your accent New Orleans right let me know Thank you for sharing
Every time I make a Peach Cobbler or homemade potato salad, she use to say if you bringing store potato salad don't come to my house, she can't stand it, she had a peach 🍑 tree in the back yard, and every other Sunday we had a Peach Cobbler, with real homemade crust, and all the grandkids use to fight over just the crust ❤️💓💞💕💗, so when I see folks use Bisquick or premade crust, I cringe 😂 I still say mawmaw these people down here not making home made crust 😂😂😂😂

Playing Jacks.
Just me a nice sweet piece of cornbread on the side 😊
My mommie always sang to us at bedtime
Put onion in freezer prior to cutting OR don’t cut the root. When the root is cut that’s when it causes the irritation to the eyes.
Try using some sunglasses to help you not cry 😊😊😊

Wash the oinion in cold water after you peel it. Learned that from Emiril on the cooking channel years ago.

Try leaving the root end on the onion as you chop it up
I loved talking with my grandma about childhood to getting married. She’s been gone 14 yrs but she’s always thought and talked about.
