INGREDIENTS:

Pressure Cooking the meat:
1 kg beef cut into medium pieces (1–2 inches)
1 sprig of curry leaves
½ tsp turmeric
1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
½ tbsp ginger-garlic paste
½ cup water
Salt to taste( I used 1 tsp)

Special Pepper Fry Masala (Roast and Grind)
2 dried red chillies
1 tbsp black pepper
2 tsp fennel seeds
2 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds

For the final Frying:
2 tbsp coconut oil (or oil of your choice)
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 sprigs curry leaves
1.5 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
½ Garam Masala
2 tbsp Sliced Coconut(optional)
Salt to taste

  1. Hi Sharmi. If cooking on the stovetop, how much water, And for how long would you recommend?
    I'm thinking three quarters to one cup, bring to boil, lid on, reduce to a simmer for 45 to 60 minutes. Does that sound about right to you?
