This is my first time trying Trader Joe’s chicken vindaloo, and I gotta say, she be kickin!
For a factory-made frozen meal I’m actually pretty impressed. The rice is perfect, the meat is a little dry, but flavorful. The heat level is very satisfying for a chilihead and would probably be too hot for the average jabroni.
For the price point, this is absolutely a fantastic buy. I’ll be trying the lamb vindaloo next.

Trader Joe’s frozen Indian food in general punches way above its price point. I haven’t tried the chicken vindaloo yet but the lamb version is also well worth stocking up on.
It sucks they discontinued that habanero crisp though, match made in heaven.
