Chili Recipe
Ingredients:
1 Bell Pepper Diced
1 Medium Yellow Onions Diced
1 15oz Can Drained Dark Red Kidney Beans
1 15oz Can Drained White Beans
1 15oz Can Chili Beans w/ Sauce
1 6oz Can Tomato Paste
1 Can Fire Roasted Tomatoes
64 oz Tomato Juice
2 T Chili Powder
1 T Chopped Garlic
1 T Cocoa Powder
12 oz brewed coffee
½ T Cumin
Salt Pepper
4 T Vegetable Oil
2 LB Lean Ground Chuck
1 LB Sausage Mild
Instructions:
In a large stock pot on medium heat, cook Ground Chuck and Sausage, seasoned with Salt and Pepper. Drain and set aside.
In a stock pot heat vegetable oil on Medium Heat and sweat onions and peppers until soft. Remove and set aside. Ground Beef and Sausage and return heat to medium. Season with salt and pepper. Add Chili Powder, Cocoa Powder, Cumin and Garlic and cook for 1 minute. Turn heat to low, and add Tomato Paste, Cook for 1 minute being sure to stir and not burn. Deglaze with Coffee & Tomato Juice. Add Red Kidney Beans, White Beans and Chili beans, Diced Tomatoes. Add. Slowly bring chili to a simmer, stirring occasionally, covered. Chili is best served after 3-4 hrs of cooking. Add Salt and Pepper to Taste. If chili becomes too thick, you can add ¼ to ½ C of water to adjust.

My buddy cooked up some chili with chocolate. It would gaga a magot. Not sure what else he used. I also hate the taste of coffee. Curious why chocolate and coffee in chili.
