Half Moon Recipe
Ingredients
For Filling
• 1 cup boneless chicken
• 1 tsp chopped ginger
• 1 tsp chopped garlic
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp black pepper powder
• 2 – 3 tbsp oil
• 1 cup chopped onion
• 2 tbsp chopped green chilli
• ¼ cup capsicum
• 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
• 1½ tbsp all-purpose flour
• 1 cup milk
For Dough
• 1½ cup water
• 1 tsp sugar
• 1½ tbsp unsalted butter
• 1½ cup all-purpose flour
For Coating
• 2 eggs (beaten)
• Breadcrumbs
• Oil for deep frying

Method
1. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped ginger and chopped garlic, sauté well.
2. Add chopped onion and sauté till soft.
3. Add chopped chicken and cook well till done.
4. Add black pepper powder, salt, capsicum, and coriander leaves. Mix well.
5. Add all-purpose flour and cook well for 1–2 minutes.
6. Add milk slowly, stirring continuously, and cook till the filling becomes thick.
7. Switch off flame and allow the filling to cool completely.
8. Boil water, sugar, and butter. Add all-purpose flour and mix to form a soft dough.
9. Cool slightly, knead well, roll thin, and cut into rounds.
10. Place filling, fold into half-moon shape, and seal edges.
11. Dip in beaten egg, coat with breadcrumbs.
12. Deep fry on medium flame till golden brown.
