Trying homemade pepper beef sticks for the first time.
I used about 3 pounds of top round, sliced into sticks (because I actually prefer beef sticks over flat jerky strips), and made a bold cracked black pepper marinade.
This is Part 1 where I:
– Slice the beef
– Make the marinade
– Let it sit overnight
– Load the dehydrator
In Part 2, we’ll do the full taste test and I’ll share what I would change next time.
Dehydrator temp: 160°F
Dry time will depend on thickness (check back for Part 2 results)
