recently taken a more serious interest in the hobby
these are Nīoi hawaiian peppers and 1 hermosillo chiltepin.
looking to add a humidifier and fan to setup to improve VPD stuff; im thinking these crinkled leaves are transpiration related? dont think ive been overwatering.
this is a trial run, next time will keep potting up to minimum 3 gallon pots, preferably 5 or 7.
i fertigate them, top watering, with 1/4 strength foliage pro, ph balanced to 5.5 or thereabouts generally, although im wondering if i should alternate watering at closer to 7 for more varied nutrient availability. i water with straight distilled water once a month to mitigate salt buildup in the soil. theyre in a 5-1-1 of pine bark fines, pumice, and ocean forest.
so much of the technical approach info ive found is geared towards pure hydroponics instead of container gardening, so this is very much a work in progress
any help is much appreciated
