Sabudana Thalipeeth (Fasting Recipe)

Ingredients
• Sabudana (sago) – 40 g
• Sweet potato – 100 g (boiled & mashed)
• Peanuts – 2 tbsp (coarsely crushed)
• Green chilli paste – to taste
• Rock salt – to taste
• Ghee – for cooking
• Curd (yogurt) – 100 g (to serve)

Method
1. Grind the sabudana lightly in a mixer to a coarse texture.
2. In a bowl, add the mashed sweet potato, ground sabudana, crushed peanuts, green chilli paste, and rock salt.
3. Mix everything well and knead into a soft dough.
4. Place a clean cloth on a flat surface. Put a portion of the dough on it and gently press to form a round thalipeeth shape.
5. Heat a pan and add ghee. Carefully place the thalipeeth on the pan.
6. Cook on medium heat until golden and crisp on both sides, adding ghee as needed.
7. Serve hot with curd.

  2. If one keeps vrat specifically on shivratri then one should rely on consuming fruits,milk and water……
    Bcz vrat means to fast to allow your body to detoxify itself through mind and body….
    But nowdays in the name of vrat people have invented their own whole menu consisting of various delicious items……and remain stomach full…
    It's okay when during such auspicious occasions u avoid certain food like with heavy masala pyaz and lehsun and choose a different alternative (bcz of ur daily work routine or bg schedule) but don't call that thing ….as vrat to others……
