My long-time friend (Karl, Ph.D. biochemist) and I (Logan, B.S. electrical and computer engineer) are trying to solve a problem that’s been plaguing us for years. How can we enjoy eating spicy food without the gastrointestinal aftermath?
We’re doing novel biotech research to figure out a solution and maybe eventually make it into a product. The end result would be something like Lactaid, but for spice.
We’re making good progress on the R&D side, but we need to figure out if this is going to be just for ourselves, or if it’s something other people want, too.
