My best guess is that when I grew these chiltepins, they were next to some filius blue that I planted. I was actually hoping to cross breed them and make purple chiltepins but none of my attempts worked/fruited so I gave up. I started growing plants again and i found some chiltepins from my last harvest… 5 years ago. None of the other peppers i grew near the chiltepins had dark foliage so im just gonna call this a happy accident but i can't be 100% certain that those two crossed. I kept the darkest ones and I will be isolating these chiltepins from my other peppers until further notice. I'll look for traits i saw similar in the filius blue but im PRAYING the taste doesnt transfer over. I was NOT a fan of the taste but the colors were beautiful and chiltepins are my all time favorite (because they're original). Good luck to me, I guess!
