In Alabama we called it frito pie
Hey AB! I didn’t expect you to put that chili over the Fritos IN the bag…that was a twist! It looks good! When we were growing up in the 70’s, a Frito Pie was assembled like a lasagna in a 13×9 pan, with a layer of Fritos, then chili, then cheese, and so on, and then it was baked to let the Fritos soften up. It came out of the oven so bubbly! It was so good! What a memory 😋

Looks awesome I’ll mix bbq and regular Fritos. I make the chili like this minus green peppers because of issues. I add mushrooms. And then I make cornbread yes I admit good ole jiffy lol , poor on top with a layer of cheddar in a casserole dish. Add sour cream and gram onions ya buddy! 👍😋

That's a walking taco, Frito pie is a casserole type dish.
We used to go to the baseball games in Texas and get it. We called it Frito pie or Frito chili pie. Cut the bag of Fritos long ways, add chili, onions and cheese. But at the ball games you can get nacho cheese on them too. I've been eating it for at least 60 years or more.
