I somewhat imagine this is tame compared to what some families would actually cook however this is an obscene quantity for me, a British Student. A full kilogram of beef went into this as well as several tins of beans and two massive bell peppers, along with a whole load of other stuff. Cooked a full kilogram of rice alongside it. I reckon I made 10 large portions of food and about 5.5kg total. So just a small quantity. Should have cooked more rice though because two of the portions have none to go with it.
It was probably at the upper limit of my spice tolerance though, but note that I'm British so I suspect none of you across the Atlantic would have felt a thing.

You’re going to get a lot of comments telling you chili isn’t Mexican food. Because it isn’t. It’s tex-mex at most. Personally I think it looks good, although I hate bell pepper. Try swapping those out for some jalapenos or Serranos if you want to make it more Mexican than it is.
Edit: also I just realized you mentioned it was at the limit of what you could handle spice wise but… Bell peppers have no capsaicin in them. What was making it spicy for you?

Comi antes de llegar, estoy lleno. Gracias.
I love chili with beans and corn, and it looks delicious even if it is much more Tex-Mex than Mexican. Mexican style rice is very easy and i bet you would enjoy it. https://www.yellowblissroad.com/authentic-mexican-rice/
Pues no es mexicano, es TexMex, más Tex que Mex
