Hi, all!
As the title says – I'm getting married and I want to prepare seedlings to gift (potentially) all of our guests!
My fiancé and I are getting married late next April. Here in Israel weddings often feature small plants (mostly succulents) as a parting gift to guests. Since our event is structured as a "gateway" to our world I thought about doing something a little offbeat and gifting pepper seedlings I'll grow!
I have several variants of which I already have hundreds of seeds:
– Italian pepperoncinos
– Red Habaneros
– Some yellow c.frutescens (don't know exact variant; bought as dry "Amazon yellow chilly"; very lemony and super tasty!)
And since it's next year, I *should* have more seeds from the variants I'm now growing:
– Yellow Trinidad Moruga Scorpions
– Lemon Drop
– Aji Amarillo
– White Habaneros
– Chocolate Fatalii
– Anaheim
– Some mystery chinense (suspect it's a Bhut Jolokia)
I was thinking of starting them outdoors in late Jan-early Feb (I am in a semi-arid climate; it's warm enough and I have a big south-facing yard) right off and having them with at least ~3 sets of true leaves to gift. Pictured plant is about that size.
Is it feasible? Have you grown at such scale? Which variants would do best (relatively small pots, easy maintenance)? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Thank you!
