
Hello all. So I recently had Salsa Macha for the first time. I don't know why it took so long, never seen it before at any restaurant I've been to or store (I read it's more of a regional sauce so I guess that's why?). I'm addicted, and can not spend the money for a tiny jar when I know I'll go through it in 3 days.
I bought Arbol, Ancho and Guajillo peppers. Did a recipe (half of what is in the pic), and yea didn't work out. I definitely burned the peppers so I'll have to try again later. One concern is that the Salsa Macha I first had, had such a depthy smoke flavor and despite mine not working out I got zero smokey flavor. Maybe that would change when I try again and don't burn it? Any help would be appreciated!
