I need to believe there's a more rational explanation for this, but… so I order the same thing every time I get Taco Bell. It was a limited time only item from 2014 called the Loaded Boss Wrap that you can order piecemeal via franksenstiening the app. It's basically just a crunchwrap with everything removed from it, then you add steak, potatoes, three cheese, and chipotle sauce. It's genuinely the best thing you can order with the standard array of ingredients, and I eat an embarrassing amount of them.
I also know as a former employee that these super custom orders are incredibly fucking annoying to make. For the last few weeks, I've noticed that my orders will randomly get cancelled specifically when I order from the store closest to my house (never from the other stores near me). I figured I was just getting unlucky with people grabbing the wrong order or something and never really thought about it. I went to order one just now and noticed that potatoes are no longer listed as an option specifically on the crunchwrap page. (Other items still have potatoes)
At first I thought it was a glitch, but I reloaded the site and it was still there. Then I thought Taco Bell got rid of potatoes again (lasting trauma from 2020), but I didn't see anything here about that. THEN I looked at the second-closest store to me and THE POTATOES ARE STILL ON THE CRUNCHWRAP PAGE.
It feels incredibly self-centered to think this but like… this is too hyper-specific to not be a targeted message at me to stop ordering this fuckass meal. I won't snitch on the store that's doing this because it's honestly the funniest thing they could have done, but like… is this a thing that can happen? Have I traumatized these poor service champions to the point where they need to modify the public facing menu JUST so I would stop ordering from them?
EDIT:
Proof that I'm not crazy:

Do any of the other items have the option for potatoes? Maybe they’re just out of potatoes right now?
