I started these guys from seed and they sprouted like a month ago. Theyre only JUST getting secondary leaves, and it just feels like its going by soooo slowly! Im concerned because ive never even grown peppers from seed before, much less chiltepins, i was so glad i got them to sprout at all. But i think the stuff i put in the little plug pots wasnt great. Its basically completely separated into different sections of soil type. The bottom 6th is basically clay/sand loam, the mid section literally has air pockets in it, the top 4/5th of the soil is like normal ass soil like i wanted, and i had to top it off w a bit more normal soil last week cuz what the actual f man.
I have some small 4.5in diameter seedling pots i was thinking of transferring them to. I did this with other seedlings earlier in the year and they did great until they were fertilized too early by mistake and died. I was thinking of trying that again, im nervous they arent getting their bearing as quick as they could because of the potting medium here.
